THE 2nd COMING

 

JESUS “FIRST” COMING DID NOT FULFILL  ALL THE PROPHECYS ASSOCIATED WITH HIS “COMING” SO THERE HAD TO BE ANOTHER “COMING”.

PETER TELLS US

 

1 Pet 1:10-12

10        Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you,

11                searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.

12        To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven-- things which angels desire to look into.

THE SUFFERING BEFOREHAND IS THE CROSS THE GLORIES ARE HIS KINGDOM

 

THE FIRST COMING WAS SUPER IMPORTANT, IN THAT IT BROUGHT US A MEANS OF SALVATION, BUT THE 2nd COMING SEEMS TO BE A PIVOT POINT THAT THE SCRIPTURES REVOLVE AROUND.  SO MANY PROMISES WILL BE FULFILLED DURING HIS EARTHLY REIGN……..

IS HE REALLY COMING?????  WHAT DID HE SAY

 

Matt 16:27

27        "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Matt 25:31-32

31        "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

32        "All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.

John 21:22

22        Jesus said to him, "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me."

THE ANGELS SAID:

 

Acts 1:10-11

10        And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

11        who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

 

Luke 24:4-5

4          And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.

5          Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?

PAUL SAID:

 

Phil 3:20-21

20        For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

21        who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

 

Titus 2:13

13        looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

 

 

Heb 9:28

28        so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

 

JAMES SAID:

James 5:7

7            Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

 

PETER SAID:

2 Pet 1:16

16        For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

 

JUDE SAID:

Jude 1:14-15

14        Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,

15        "to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

 

JOHN SAID:

Rev 1:7

7                    Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Zech 12:10

10        "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

 

THE LORD’S SUPPER TESTIFIES HE IS COMING

 

1 Cor 11:26

26        For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.

 

PAUL REFERS TO “BAPTISM” ONLY 13 TIMES IN ALL HIS EPISTLES

BUT SPEAKS OF THE LORD’S RETURN 50 TIMES………

THERE ARE 20 TIMES AS MANY REFERENCES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT TO HIS  2nd COMING THEN THERE ARE THE FIRST..

 

HIS FIRST COMING “THE INCARNATION” HID HIS POWER AND DIETY IN FLESH,

BUT HIS SECOND COMING, WILL REVEAL HIS GLORY……EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM

ACCOMPANIED WITH HIS SAINTS……THE FULFILLMENT OF:

 

Matt 24:30-31

30        "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31        "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

 

HE RETURNS WITH HIS BRIDE (THE CHURCH) US!!!!

 

Rev 19:14

14        And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

THE BEAST AND FALSE PROPHET ARE CAST ALIVE INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE REV 19:20

SATAN IS BOUND A 1000 YEARS REV 20:2

 

THE ONLY REAL HOPE OF THE JEWS IS HIS RETURN AND THE FULFILLMENT OF THE MANY PROMISES…..

THEY ARE TO BE RESTORED TO THEIR LAND

 

Jer 16:14-15

14            "Therefore behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "that it shall no more be said, 'The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,'

15        "but, 'The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.' For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.

 

Isa 43:5-7

5          Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west;

6          I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' And to the south, 'Do not keep them back!' Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth--

7            Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him."

Isa 43:18-19

18        "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.

19        Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Isa 44:21-24

21            "Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me!

22        I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you."

Jer 24:6

6          'For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up.

 

Jer 31:35-37

35        Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, who disturbs the sea, and its waves roar (The LORD of hosts is His name):

36        "If those ordinances depart from before Me, says the LORD, then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever."

37        Thus says the LORD: "If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says the LORD.

 

Ezek 36:33-35

33        'Thus says the Lord GOD: "On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt.

34        "The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by.

35        "So they will say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.'

 

Amos 9:14-15

14        I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.

15        I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them," says the LORD your God.

 

Isa 11:11

11        It shall come to pass in that day that the LORD shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Assyria and Egypt, from Pathros and Cush, from Elam and Shinar, from Hamath and the islands of the sea.

HE SAID IN ROMANS 8:22 THE WHOLE CREATION GROANS….WAITING FOR HIS COMING.

 

HE COMES BACK FROM WHERE HE LEFT ( ACTS 1:11 ), THE MT OF OLIVES

 

Zech 14:4

4          And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south.

 

Micah 1:3-4

3          For behold, the LORD is coming out of His place; he will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.

4          The mountains will melt under him, and the valleys will split like wax before the fire, like waters poured down a steep place.

 

Amos 9:5

5          The Lord GOD of hosts, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who dwell there mourn; all of it shall swell like the River, and subside like the River of Egypt.

 

Zech 14:10

10        All the land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. She shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Benjamin's Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananeel to the king's winepresses.

ISAIAH 35   ALL

Isa 35:1-2

1          The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;

2          It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, the excellency of our God.

 

 

Ps 67:6

6          Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.

Amos 9:13

13            "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it.

 

 

 

 

Joel 3:18

18        And it will come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; a fountain shall flow from the house of the LORD and water the Valley of Acacias.

Isa 55:13

13        Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off."

24        The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.

25        "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you.

26        You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame.

Isa 11:6-9

6          "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

7          The cow and the bear shall graze; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8          The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, and the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den.

9          They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

Isa 65:20-22

20        "No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; for the child shall die one hundred years old, but the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.

21        They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

22        They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, and My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

Isa 65:25

25        The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain," says the LORD.

Isa 30:26

26            Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of His people and heals the stroke of their wound.

Deut 28:13

13        "And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

31        "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.

32        "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

33        "And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end."

 

Dan 7:13-14

13        "I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him.

14        Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.

 

Hosea 3:5

5            Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.

 

Jer 30:9

9          But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.
