GETTING OUR LIVES IN FOCUS

   YOU ARE SOMEBODY......WHO, WHAT, WHY, AND WHERE ARE YOU GOING..

 

 WE MUST LEARN TO WORK WITH GOD AND HIS PRINCIPLES...WE ARE GROWING IN SOME

 WAY AT ALL TIMES.......THINK IT OVER.    BE STRONG IN THE LORD.

 

 HEB 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes

          to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those

          who diligently seek Him. (NKJ)

 

                MENTALLY--SPIRITUALLY--SOCIALLY--PHYSICALLY

 

Lu 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and

        men. (NKJ)

        HE DIDN'T JUST PRAY ALL THE TIME......

    JESUS WAS ACTIVE...... WEDDINGS, FEAST DAYS, VISITING FRIENDS

       GOING TO CHURCH, HE HAD A BALANCED DEVELOPEMENT.

 BUT HIS #1 PURPOSE WAS TO DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER. IT SHOULD BE OURS ALSO.

 

 Eph 4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him

          who is the head-- Christ-- (NKJ)

 HE WANTS US TO LEARN HOW TO BE THE BODY...TO GROW INTO IT.

 

1 Pet 2:1-5

          Therefore, laying aside all malice, all guile, hypocrisy,

          envy, and all evil speaking,

          as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may

          grow thereby,

          if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

          Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but

          chosen by God and precious,

          you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a

          holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God

          through Jesus Christ. (NKJ)

 

 COL 3:1-17  1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which

            are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

             2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

             3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

             4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear

            with Him in glory.

             5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth:

            fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness,

            which is idolatry.

             6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the

            sons of disobedience,

             7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

             8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath,

            malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.

             9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man

            with his deeds,

            10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge

            according to the image of Him who created him,

            11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor

            uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is

            all and in all.

            12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender

            mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

            13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone

            has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so

            you also must do.

            14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of

            perfection.

            15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you

            were called in one body; and be thankful.

            16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom,

            teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and

            spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

            17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the

            Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

            (NKJ)

 

 

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you

            present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God,

            which is your reasonable service.

            (NKJ)

 

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the

            renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and

            acceptable and perfect will of God.

            (NKJ)

 

 PHILIPPIANS 4:8-9  8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever

                   things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things

                   are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are

                   of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is

                   anything praiseworthy-- meditate on these things.

                    9 The things which you learned and received and heard and

                   saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

                   (NKJ)

 

 

 BUT SATAN IS ALIVE AND WELL......

GOD WANTS US TO BE OVERCOMERS.

SATAN MAKES US FEEL: GUILTY...WHEN GOD HAS FORGIVEN US  YOUR NOT GOOD ENOUGH... REJECTED AND CRITICIZED BY OTHERS  LIKE A FAILURE..

 ALL HIS FOCUS IS ON THIS LIFE......IF WE BUILD FOR OUR REAL FUTURE, THIS  LIFE WILL TAKE CARE OF ITS SELF,CHRIST DIED FOR US   

 Matt 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all

           these things shall be added to you.

           (NKJ) now put RELATIONSHIP in place of  righteousness
