REV 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

REV 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

REV 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

REV 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

When was “Your Name” Written in the Book of Life ?

BEING A GOOD BAPTIST, I ALWAYS BELIEVED IT WAS WRITTEN IN THERE WHEN I GOT SAVED........HOWEVER, WHEN I READ:

2 SAM 12:22-23 22 And he said, “While the child was alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, ‘Who can tell whether the LORD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?’

23 “But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.”

Romans 5:12 said because of Adams sin, all were sinners

Romans 3:23 said ALL have sinned

I WAS CONFUSED BECAUSE I KNEW THAT THE BABY HAD NOT BEEN “SAVED”.

HOW DID IT’S NAME GET IN THE BOOK?… COULD IT HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE?

THEN I READ:

JOHN 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

THE SIN OF THE “WORLD”, NOT JUST THOSE WHO GET SAVED... INTERESTING.

HEB 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

FOR EVERYONE?    NOT JUST THOSE WHO GET SAVED.....I SEE A PATTERN HERE, THAT BOOK MUST HAVE BEEN WRITTEN A LONG TIME AGO.......

PSA 139:16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

NONE OF THEM? THERE WAS NO DAYS ?       DO YOU MEAN, BEFORE “GENESIS”?

HERE IT SAYS “ARE” WRITTEN

LUK 10:20 “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

PHI 4:3 And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

HEB 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

DAN 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

HERE IT SAYS “ARE NOT” WRITTEN

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

REV 17:8 “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

HOW COME THEIR NAME IS NOT IN THE BOOK?               IT WAS BLOTTED OUT.

EXO 32:32 “Yet now, if You will forgive their sin-but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.”

EXO 32:33 And the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

DEU 9:14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they. 

DEU 29:20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

PSA 9:5 You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

PSA 69:28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, And not be written with the righteous.

PSA 109:13 Let his posterity be cut off, And in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

LOOK AT THIS

REV 3:5 “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

1 COR 1:4-8

 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

I THINK JESUS CONFESSING OUR NAMES BEFORE GOD “CONFIRMS” US. COULD BE MORE HERE THAN MEETS THE EYE.....

I THINK EVERY ONE WHO WAS/WILL BE BORN OR WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN BORN(ABORTED) HAD THEIR NAME WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE. I THINK JESUS’ BLOOD WAS SHED FOR “ALL”. .REV 13:8 SAYS “SLAIN” FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. I THINK THE “PROVISION”  WAS MADE FOR ALL. HE CHOSE US ALL, BUT NOT ALL ANSWERED THE CALL.

EPH 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

EPH 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Rom 8:28-30    And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.                For whom He foreknew,(PS 139:16) He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.                 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (SECOND COMING)

GODS DESIRE AND PROVISION WAS FOR EVERY SOUL TO BE CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON (ROM 8:29-30) AND THE CALL WAS TO ALL PEOPLE. IN HEB 2:9 “JESUS TASTE DEATH FOR EVERYONE”, BUT NOT EVERYONE ACCEPTS GODS PROVISION IN THE DEATH OF CHRIST AND WHEN THEY CROSS GODS DEADLINE THEY ARE BLOTTED OUT.  I BELIEVE THAT DEADLINE EXTENDS TO DEATH FOR MOST PEOPLE BUT NOT ALL. I THINK THAT WHEN MOSES WENT TO LEAD THE CHILDREN OUT THE FIRST TIME, PHARAOH HAD NOT CROSSED HIS DEADLINE AND 40 YEARS WAS GIVEN TO HIM, ..NOT TO MOSES AND GOD SURELY DIDNT NEED THE TIME. 

I THINK GOD HAS SOME DEADLINES. AND IF YOU REJECT HIS SACRIFICE ONCE TOO OFTEN, YOU COULD CROSS HIS DEADLINE AND HAVE YOUR NAME BLOTTED OUT.

I THINK HIS DEADLINE FOR MOST PEOPLE IS THEIR LAST BREATH, BUT NOT ALL. (PHARAOH)

ALSO IT COULD BE THAT THE RAPTURE WILL BE A DEADLINE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD THE GOSPEL PRESENTED AND HAVE REJECTED IT.

II Th 2:7-12

7              For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

8              And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

9              The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

10            and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. HAD A CHANCE ?

11            And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

12            that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

HERE HE SPEAKS OF THE “FOUNDATATION” OF THE WORLD.

MAT 13:35 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.”

MAT 25:34 “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

HEB 9:26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

1PE 1:20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

I CAN NOT FIND ANY REFERENCE TO “GETTING” YOUR NAME PUT IN THE BOOK, JUST GETTING IT TAKEN OUT.

 

I DONT THINK THIS HAS ANY BEARING ON THE SUBJECT MATTER BUT I INCLUDED IT SO YOU COULD DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. ISAIAH SEEMED TO BE REFERING TO ANOTHER BOOK.

ISA 29:11-12 & 18

 11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. 

ISA 30:8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:

ISA 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.  HE IS SPEAKING OF ANIMALS HERE

ISA 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.   SALVATION FOR GENTILES HERE

DAN 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. 

THIS IS THE ONLY REFERENCE TO A BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE AND I DON’T THINK IT IS THE SAME AS THE BOOK OF LIFE.

MAL 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

REV 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

REV 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE WORD FOR WORD TRANSLATION OF REV 17:8 FROM THE ACTUAL GREEK TO ENGLISH. IT READS DIFFERENT THAN WE TALK BUT YOU WILL NOTICE A DIFFERENCE.

THE BEAST WHICH THOU SAWEST WAS, AND IS NOT, AND IS ABOUT TO COME UP OUT OF THE ABYSS, AND INTO DESTRUCTION TO GO; AND SHALL WONDER THEY WHO DWELL ON THE EARTH, OF WHOM ARE NOT WRITTEN THE NAMES IN THE BOOK OF LIFE FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, SEEING THE BEAST WHICH WAS AND NOT IS, AND YET IS.

THE WORD “WERE” IS REALLY NOT THERE NOR IS IT IMPLIED IN THE GREEK..
