why am I doing this?      Read  2peter 1:1-8, 13, 20,21. 2:4-9. 3:1-9

 

THE LAST DAYS STARTED WITH THE BIRTH OF JESUS        

Heb 1:1-2

1          God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

2                    has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

Last Days – this (final) dispensation(Grace-Church) in which the affairs of the World will be wound up. Not necessarily ending soon, but that no period of man ruling the Earth would follow.

 

DAYS IS PLURAL, MORE THAN ONE…HOW MANY??? TWO OR THREE….MORE??

Luke 13:32 Jesus said….

32And He said to them, "Go, tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.'

READ 2 PETER 3:1-8  one day /1000 years

 

Isa 46:9 Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me,

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,'

Acts 2:17

17        'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.     THIS WAS SAID AT PENTECOST

1 Pet 1:20-21

20        He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

21        who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

I Jn 2:18

Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

THE “IS COMING” REFERS TO THE TRIBULATION, SO JOHN SAID IN AD90 THAT THIS TIME PERIOD EXTENDS AT LEAST UNTIL THEN.

 

SEE 2 TIMOTHY 3:1-5 sounds like today.

THE NEXT EVENT

RAPTURE. Greek  “harpazo / caught up” by force-taken

IN JOHN 13 JESUS HAD TOLD THEM THAT ONE OF THEM WOULD BETRAY HIM, AND THIS HAD UPSET THEM, SO HE SPENT THE 14th CHAPTER COMFORTING THEM (last supper)

John 14:2-3

2          "In My Father's house are many (I wish it said ALL)mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place(I wish it said mansion) for you.

3                    "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

DID YOU GET THAT……HE MADE IT CLEAR…

John 17:24            "Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. WOW

 

 I BELIEVE JOHN 14 IS THE FIRST REFERENCE TO REMOVING BELIEVERS FROM THE EARTH BEFORE THE SECOND COMING, AND HE MADE NO ATTEMPT TO EXPLAIN THIS, IF THEY COULD NOT UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIS FIRST AND SECOND COMINGS, HOW COULD THEY KNOW THE SECOND COMING FROM THE RAPTURE¼.Just a few days before, he had told them of HIS GLORIOUS RETURN TO EARTH..IN .Matt 24

PAUL SAID:

Eph 2:6-7

6          and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

7          that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

1 Cor 15:50-54

50        Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

51        Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--

52        in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead (saints) will be raised incorruptible, and we (alive) shall be changed.

53        For this corruptible (dead saints) must put on incorruption, and this mortal (live saints) must put on immortality.

54        So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

 

1Thes 4:16-18

16        For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.   And thus we shall always be with the Lord.    WE MEET HIM IN SATANS LIVINGROOM.  Eph 2:2 (prince) and claim our VICTORY  1COR 15:55 & COL 2:15  

18            Therefore comfort one another with these words.

COL 3:4  When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

TITUS 2:13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

 

 

BACK TO THE RAPTURE

 

1Thes 4:13-15

13        But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

1Thes 5:4

4          But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

1Thes 5:9

9          For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

1Thes 5:11

11            Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

1Thes 1:10

10        and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

 

2 Cor 5:8

We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

THE RAPTURE CLOSES THE CHURCH AGE¼¼¼.. BUT when is it?????

 

Well we need to look at some things that help ME….

FIRST…… WHEN is the WEDDING?? We can’t have a wedding until the Bride is there…

 

AND OUR “MARRIAGE”

2 Cor 11:2   For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Eph 5:25-6:1

25            Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

26        that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,

27        that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

29        For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.

32        This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Rev 19:7   "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife (after the wedding) has made herself ready."   (She has her white robe on) Ready for the 2^nd coming.

THE WEDDING IS BEFORE THE 2^nd COMING!!

 

WHERE IS THE CHURCH???

AROUND THE THRONE¼THE 24 ELDERS ..THE LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD WAS DEVIDED INTO 24 GROUPS FOR SERVICE¼¼..WHAT ARE WE AS CHRISTIANS ?

 

1 Pet 2:9   But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD!!!!!!

 

Rev 5:8-10

8          Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

9          And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

10        And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth."

GO THRU REV 7…..another RAPTURE also…..

 

What about that WHITE ROBE???

WE APPEAR AT THE “BEMA” JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST, WHERE WE WILL RECEIVE OUR REWARDS AND OUR “CROWNS”, AND SOME WORKS ARE BURNED.

2 Cor 5:10   For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Rom 14:10

10b      For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Rom 14:12   So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

WHAT IF I HAVE UNCONFESSED SIN IN MY LIFE AT THE RAPTURE, WILL I GO ?

James 4:17   Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

YOU PROBABLY WILL HAVE (no one is perfect), BUT “YES”

1 Cor 3:15   If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

WHY??

I Jn 3:1-3

1          Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

2            Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

3          And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

I Jn 2:28

28        And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed (of unconfessed sin)before Him at His coming. (for us)

1 Cor 15:51

51                Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—

GOD HAS AT LEAST TWO PROGRAMS RUNNING AT THE SAME TIME, ONE FOR THE CHURCH (bride of Christ), AND ONE FOR ISRAEL (God’s wife) Jer 3:6-14 WOW “MARRIED”

 

CHURCH

Luke 17:

26        "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:

27        "They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

 

Gen 7:1

1          Then the LORD said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.

Gen 7:4

4          "For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made."

SEVEN DAYS- SEVEN YEARS ???     THE ARK, A PREPARED PLACE OF SAFETY¼¼.

 

ISRAEL

Luke 17:

28            "Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

29        "but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

30        "Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Gen 19:

22           “Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.”

29        And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt.

Rev 7:14  “These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation” (CAME OUT NOT THRU)

REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD!!!!!!

 

 

 

WHAT GOES WITH US AT THE RAPTURE ?

THE HINDERER—THE HOLY SPIRIT’S INDWELLING

II Th 2:6-7

6          And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.

7          For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

HE LIVES IN OUR HEARTS

1 Cor 6:19-20

19        Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

20        For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

WHEN HE IS TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY, HIS TEMPLE (BELIEVERS) GOES WITH HIM!!

SO JUST HOLD ON.
